TIPS AND TRICK – APP SCALING

After downloading app after app, games after games it is really frustrating when you launch your app/games and it is not in full 7 inch display. The scalling won’t work ? Yes it is a known issues, even Samsung admit that.

First do understand, most app /games available are not meant for tablet. Second do understand froyo was not meant for tablet as well. So a full blown 7 inches (or bigger) really is an issue. But worry not, I found a way to work around it. Bit complicated though….

1. Turn on Android Market. Search and download an app known as “Spareparts”
2. Install “Spareparts”
3. Launch “Spareparts”
4. From here, you would notice even “Spareparts” not running in full screen. Don’t worry.
5. Scroll to “Compatibility Mode” .Notice that the box is already checked. So this is what you do.
6. First unchecked the box
7. Then check the box again. (the right mark will appear green)
8. Press back button to activate what you have done
9. Now turn off your phone
10. Then turn it on.
11. Once loaded go back to “Spareparts”,
12. Once again scroll to compatibility mode.
13. Now unchecked the box
14. Press back button and return to home
15. Once again, turn off your phone and turn on again
16. Once loaded , go back to “Spareparts”. Check out, if “Spareparts” now run in full screen…then you are done. If not, you are not following the instruction well. Read again what I said now especially on when to check or uncheck. Get it done in order.
