Did you know that you can get your PC connected to the internet via your phone. There is two way to do it. And most modern day device are able to do so. But my posting is specific for Samsung Galaxy Tab. Again there is two way to do it
Tethering – You can connect your PC to internet , by connecting you SGT to you PC via USB cable. However take note during the process your Bluetooth connection may not work. However phone function remain as it. This is how
- Connect you Phone to PC via UBS cable.
- Click HOME button on your SGT
- Go to Setting, choose the Wireless and Network
- Scroll and select Tethering
- Check the USB tethering box and you are ready to go (you may need to confirm a few selection on your PC)
3G Wi-Fi – If you don’t like the idea of using USB cable, there is another option. You can turn your SGT into a 3G Wi-Fi modem. Doing this you can get up to 5 pc sharing your 3G connection. Which is cool right. So this is how you do it
- Click HOME button on your SGT
- Go to Setting, choose the Wireless and Network
- Scroll and select MOBILE AP
- Check the MOBILE AP box and you are ready to go
- Now go back to your PC. Turn on your WIFI and scan for network. Choose the network from your phone (usually represented by your phone name (if you change your phone name to something else it will also appear as that)
